JOB DESCRIPTION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Build project plan and resource assignments that can be presented to key stakeholders and used to manage project progress through milestones and deliverables
  • Apply agile project management methodologies
  • Be always looking for continuous process improvements
  • Prepare and present project kickoff
  • Set project up in project tracking software (like JIRA) and manage it
  • Verify hours and forecast hours for ongoing projects
  • Pro-actively manage various project risks through timely risk mitigation
  • Track and communicate project progress and status of deliverables to all key stakeholders
  • Track, communicate, and facilitate resolution of project issues and unblock issues to increase team productivity
  • Track bugs and support issues and ensure they get through pre-defined processes to resolution on time
  • Manage stakeholders’ expectations

PERFORMANCE MEASURES :

  • As per KPIs for the role

QUALIFICATION :

  • Expert level knowledge on Agile/Scrum processes and JIRA tool for project management
  • Partner, vendor, off-shore resource management experience
  • Experience on geographically distributed projects
  • Experience in workflow and process design

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS :

  • Certifications like PMP and CSM is a big plus
  • Understanding of agile and benefits it brings to business 
  • Work-planning, Estimating, Meeting Facilitation, and Issue Resolution
  • Experience with various project life cycle methodologies including agile
  • Demonstrated leadership including the ability to grow and develop other people.
  • Ability to translate project requirements into project plans with resources, tasks, deliverables, and timeframes
  • Experience with process and quality management
  • Ability to manage detailed analysis of business problems and technical environments
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Experience with JIRA or other enterprise project management tools is a plus
  • Must-have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Strong relationship building skills including strong listening and question based knowledge gathering skills
  • Must be able to work well with various teams and team-members with different types of personalities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral are required
