FOX NETWORKS GROUP CONTENT DISTRIBUTION, the sales division for National Geographic and Fox Channels is a leading global distributor of high-quality scripted and unscripted programming and formats. Managing an impressive library of award-winning, exclusive and top-rated signature series and specials from our international channels and producers, FNG Content Distribution is strongly positioned to offer its compelling content to multimedia clients around the world.

OVERVIEW

The role will report directly to Associate Director Finance and be responsible for managing the intercompany accounting process and supporting the team to deliver the monthly reporting deliverables for the FNG Content Distribution group. The content portfolio stretches across a diverse programming portfolio ranging from the Walking Dead & Legion (International Fox Networks) to Mars & Car SOS (National Geographic).  

ROLE SUMMARY

  • Ownership of the Intercompany reporting process including: clear communication of reporting timelines and expectations, preparation and distribution of intercompany statements, key contact for all intercompany queries, and maintenance of internal intercompany trackers.
  • Act as a business partner to regional finance hubs, proactively working with local territory finance teams to resolve quarterly reporting discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Review, enhance and document financial processes and controls.
  • Assist in the preparation and timely submission of all underlying accounting and financial reporting deliverables.
  • Preparation of quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Proactively manage all key internal and external stakeholders, seeking positive synergies and efficiencies where possible.
  • Other adhoc tasks supporting the Associate Director Finance where required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

Essential

  • Qualified accountant / Finalist or equivalent commercial / international qualification.
  • Degree university graduate.
  • Previous experience managing Intercompany reporting processes.
  • A technically minded accountant with excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a highly results-focused, international, complex organisation.

Strongly Desirable

  • Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and SOX
  • Advanced Excel
  • Working knowledge of Peoplesoft / HFM
  • Previous experience in the entertainment distribution industry
